Our Trustees
The Trust has always been governed by outstanding and recognized Missouri conservation leaders. Such notable names in conservation as Bob Brown, Ted Scott, Carl Morrow, G. Andy Runge, Charles Bell and Ford Hughes have given their time to build the Trust's assets and direct donations toward worthy projects.
Ike Lovan, Chairman
Ike Lovan and his wife June reside in the small town of Steelville, Missouri overlooking the Meramec River. Ike is a former teacher, merchant, realtor and a community leader; he is the president of the Steelville Park Board. This longtime conservationist has held many volunteer positions in several organizations including past president of the Conservation Federation of Missouri and Vice-Chairman of the Foundation. He says, "My favorite hobbies are hunting, fishing, golfing and "jamming". Ike is a talented musician. He has recently recorded two CD's of his favorite songs. John Knudsen, Vice-Chairman
John Knudsen is employed by the Missouri Department of Agriculture and has worked for the Department of Natural Resources and Conservation. He loves to promote good stewardship and sustainability on private lands and this has been a goal throughout his career. In 2016 John was honored as the Professional Conservationist of the Year by the Federation. He is an active volunteer conservationist and serves on the Boards of the Conservation Federation of Missouri and the Conservation Foundation. John describes himself as an avid outdoors man who loves to hunt but says, "Fishing is my very favorite pastime." John lives in rural Gasconade County near Hermann, Missouri, with his wife Micki, son Everett and an English Setter named Bella. Mentoring students through such programs as the Conservation Leadership Corps and seeing more young people embrace conservation as a way of life have been important goals for John. |
