About the Trust

About the Trust

The Conservation Foundation of Missouri Charitable Trust is an important ally of the Conservation Federation of Missouri, the state's largest conservation membership organization and most effective voice for conservation in the Missouri Legislature and before state natural resource agencies.

The Foundation supports many of the Federation's educational goals.

Our History

Picture
The Trust was established so that Missouri conservationists could have a way to donate tax deductible gifts and memorials to promote conservation and inform the citizenry of important conservation and environmental developments and needs.

One early goal was the establishment of a conservation education center and library. The Trust’s donations support scientific, literary and educational purposes.

Since the passage of the 1/8
th % Conservation Sales tax, initiated and championed by the Federation, the Department of Conservation has been able to construct conservation education centers such as the Runge Nature Center in Jefferson City and others around the state.
